Shipping & Returns

Shipping Policy

Please use our shipping calculator in the shopping cart by placing your items in the shopping cart and then navigating to the cart.  Enter your Zip code or Country and press the Update button to get a real-time quote for the various shipping options we offer.

We strive to ship out your order within two business days. Depending on the shipping method selected, the arrival expectation is 4 to 14 business days. In some cases, this may take 21 business days or longer to arrive. If your order has not arrived during this time period, please contact through the Contact Us link on our web site.

We are not responsible for shipments or delivery times for any reason.  Estimate shipping times are only an estimate from when a shipment leaves one of our warehouses and arrives at the destination shipping address.  We do not guarentee arrival of a shipment by any certain date.

Please make sure that you provide us with the correct shipping address for your package. If you provide us with a bad address and you do not receive your package we cannot be held liable for the loss. We cannot be responsible for misdirected or damage to international orders

If a package is returned to us because of a bad address provided by you, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you and correct the error. If you choose to have the package sent again you will be billed the appropriate shipping charge. If you choose to cancel the order you will be charged a 10% restocking fee and your shipping charges will not be refunded.

Do to the nature of shipping internationally, we can not be responsible for lost or misdirected packages. If you are requesting shipment outside of the United States, you take full responsibility for the shipment regardless of whether or not the package arrives. All international orders must be prepaid. Depending on what method is selected for shipping, you may be charged additional brokerage, customs, taxes, fees, etc. on your order. We will not be responsible or have knowledge of any such fees as our shipping costs only cover shipping and handling to your location.

Our Backorder Policy

We strive to keep items in stock but sometimes items do go out of stock in our warehouse. These are temporary backorders and will usually arrive in our warehouse in 1 week or so.  Since we receive stock in from suppliers every business day, we hold orders with backorders for up to a maximum of 5 business days (30 days for international orders). If after that time, the backorder item(s) have still not arrived, we ship the portion of the order that is ready. The backorder item(s) will then ship to you after they arrive (you'll incur no additional shipping charges for this second shipment).

These temporary backorders are not listed on our website as such. We currently do not have the capability to know if any item is on temporary backorder for your order until the day after your order is processed in our internal system and matched with inventory. Therefore, you can contact us to check on the status of backorders the day after your order is placed by using our Contact link on our website.

However, we do list supplier backorders on our website. These are backorders where there is some delay by the supplier (reprinting, etc.). Orders with supplier backorders are handled in the same manner as temporary backorders.

Due to new credit card security regulations, we charge for the entire order up front and then ship backorders with no additional shipping charge.

An item may sometimes be on backorder for quite a long time as suppliers change their expected due dates for getting items to us. 

Backorders will not be cancelled until we are notified by the supplier that the item is no longer available.

No-Hassle Return Policy

If you would like to return a product, please visit our website and log in. Select the My Account link at the top of the page and select the Completed Orders link on the left bar.  Next, select the item that you wish to return from the list of your completed orders.  Fill out the return information and select Submit to begin your return request.  Further instructions will be sent to you when your return request has been approved.  If you are sending back defective merchandise, please describe the defect to us. If your return is postmarked within the first 30 days after you initially received it, you will be credited the full price of your product. Returns received after 30 days will receive a store credit and a 10% restocking fee.  We do not accept returns after 6 months from when a product has shipped to you.

WE CANNOT GIVE REFUNDS ON ITEMS THAT WE RECEIVE BACK DAMAGED, AS THEY ARE NOT RESALABLE. ELECTRONIC MEDIA (SUCH AS CD.s, CASSETTES, CD-ROMS, VIDEOS, E-BOOKS, COMPUTER SOFTWARE, AND PRODUCTS WITH AN INTERNET COMPONENT (Including Gift Certificates)) CANNOT BE RETURNED. WE DO NOT ACCEPT ITEMS FOR RETURN THAT WE NO LONGER OFFER FOR SALE. Shrink-wrapped items must not be used and must be returned shrink-wrapped to receive a refund. Any other non-returnable items will be clearly marked as such on the item description page. We will of course replace any item that has a manufacturing defect.  Shipping fees are not refundable unless we made an error with your shipment.

Items must be returned in new condition. No bent corners, stickers, sticker residue, marks, scuffs, shelfwear or other non original marking will be accepted. If they arrived damaged, you will not receive a refund for the return. We recommend insurance on all return packages. Please do not use any of the books as a flat surface on which to write return notes or other information, as this leaves a permanent etching on the front cover of books. To avoid damage in return shipping, do not use newspaper as your packing material, as this often leaves ink smears on the books. Wrap and box items securely, put a copy of the packing slip or receipt in the box, and mark the outside of the package “RETURN” in large letters. We suggest that you ship your return by UPS or Fed Ex (as it is insured automatically for up to $100). If you ship through the Post Office, please insure the package. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks to process your returns. If you want to order additional materials, we advise that you order separately so that the return processing does not delay your order. No Exchanges. Each order is treated as a new order and is charged S&H, accordingly.

Please do not send items that do not meet the above conditions as you will not receive a refund for them and they will not be returned to you. If you return items that were purchased with a gift certificate we will issue a new gift certificate for the appropriate amount.

Please do not contact us via phone regarding returns as the representative do not have information regarding your returns.  You may contact us via your order online for fastest service or you may write to us using our return address.  Other methods of contacting us are not guaranteed including email due to the large amount of spam we receive.  Contacting us via your original order online is the best method of contacting us.

Damage in Shipment or Manufacture

Occasionally, an item will be received damaged or some other manufacturing defect. Please contact us for return shipping information. Our policy is to replace all damaged materials as soon as we receive the returned item. If you desire a replacement copy before the damaged item has been received in our warehouse, we will gladly ship out a replacement, charging your account for that item at it's original cost. When the damaged item has been received, we will issue a credit for the initial item.
