Abbot Dom Columba Marmion was born in Dublin in 1858, the year that Our Lady appeared at Lourdes. He died on January 30th, 1923, the Feastday of Saint Martina. On the same day 48 years earlier, the Abbot of Solesmes, Dom Prosper Gueranger, passed away. Fifty-five years later, Father Leonard Feeney, who had a deep-held devotion to both Abbots, also passed away.
Everything in Suffering With Christ was gathered together by Dom Raymonb Thibaut and was originally published in 1941. The materials herein were taken from the three great spiritual classics of Dom Marmion: Christ, the Life of the Soul; Christ in His Mysteries; and Christ, the Ideal of the Monk.
Rarely will you find such great spiritual treasures as those contained herein.
